Rebecca Jackman

Founder & Author

I am the originating author of Founding, defined as the point at which an enterprise ceases to be a draft and begins to have a history.

This site contains my published work on Founding. The writing examines how a business moves from informal, founder-dependent activity to a more stable condition in which decisions remain in place, agreements do not require repeated explanation, and the enterprise no longer relies on the founder’s memory to function.

All essays are published as finished work. Each article is complete in itself and is not revised after publication.

The writing collected here concerns Founding. It examines the point at which an enterprise ceases to be a draft and begins to have a history.

Each text published on this site is written as finished work. Every piece is presented as a complete position and remains unchanged after publication.

Taken together,  the essays form a cumulative record of Founding as it has been defined and articulated over time.
